what is m-beauty?

Melanin is present in ALL communities of color, and K-Beauty (or Korean beauty) has recently gained in popularity in the West because it prioritizes quality skincare products, consistency, and forming healthy habits that promote beautiful skin. M-Beauty (or "melanin beauty") is based on many of the same tenants of K-Beauty, but was created specifically for melanin-rich skin without lightening it.

The cleansing process begins by designating a small amount of time each day to have a consistent skincare regimen. It sounds easy, but consistency is key to this routine. Then, using multiple, light-weight products the skin is (double) cleansed, toned, and hydrated. The ingredients in the products are mostly healthy, natural, not harsh, and help promote the health of the skin.

So what's the difference with M-Beauty? The difference is that Korean beauty products tend to contain ingredients that promote the lightening of skin. They are also formulated to help skin concerns present in extremely light skin tones, but not necessarily those prevalent in melanin-rich skin (i.e. eczema).
